About Carnival Jubilee

Carnival Jubilee launched in December 2023 as the third Excel-class ship, the largest ever to homeport in Galveston, Texas. At 183,521 gross tons, Jubilee features the BOLT roller coaster along with a new Texas-inspired zone called The Shores that celebrates the ship's homeport heritage.

The Shores zone is exclusive to Jubilee, featuring Shaquille O'Neal's Big Chicken restaurant, the Gulf Coast-inspired Landshark bar, and abundant outdoor seating with ocean views. The ship also introduces the first Carnival location of Master Chef at Sea restaurant, bringing Gordon Ramsay's TV competition to dining.

Carnival Jubilee is ideal for Texas and Gulf Coast cruisers seeking convenient departures without flights. The ship offers Western Caribbean itineraries from Galveston to destinations including Costa Maya, Cozumel, and Roatán.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Carnival Jubilee unique?

Jubilee features The Shores, an exclusive zone celebrating Texas Gulf Coast culture, plus the first Master Chef at Sea restaurant and Big Chicken by Shaq. It's also the largest cruise ship ever to homeport in Galveston.

What destinations does Carnival Jubilee visit?

Sailing year-round from Galveston, Carnival Jubilee visits Western Caribbean ports including Cozumel, Costa Maya, Roatán, and Mahogany Bay (Honduras) on 7-night itineraries.

Does Carnival Jubilee have the BOLT roller coaster?

Yes, Carnival Jubilee features BOLT, the first roller coaster at sea. The 800-foot track wraps around the funnel area, reaching speeds up to 40 mph while riders control their own acceleration.

What is onboard credit (OBC)?

Onboard credit is ship money you can use during your cruise—like a prepaid gift card. Spend it on drinks, specialty dining, Wi-Fi, spa treatments, excursions, or onboard shopping.

How does Zipsea give me more onboard credit than others?

Travel agents earn commission on every booking, and most keep it. We don't—we pass back the maximum onboard credit the cruise line allows, every time.

Do I pay more to book with Zipsea?

No. You pay the same published fare you'd see on the cruise line's website—except we give you back the maximum onboard credit on top.

How much onboard credit will I actually get?

It depends on your fare and the cruise line's rules. As a ballpark, shorter cruises usually allow $50–$100 and longer cruises $150–$500+. When you search a sailing, we show you the exact amount.
