The Zipsea Friend Referral Program (hereafter referred to as the “Program”) allows registered Zipsea members to earn onboard credit for use on future cruise bookings by inviting friends to join Zipsea and book a qualifying cruise.
Zipsea members must agree to both these Terms and Conditions (the “Program Terms”) and the Zipsea General Terms and Conditions, which can be found on the Zipsea website at zipsea.com/terms, before participating in this Program. Terms not defined in these Program Terms will have the same definitions as in the Zipsea General Terms and Conditions.
1. Program Overview
The Zipsea Friend Referral Program enables you to give your friends $25 in onboard credit when they book a qualifying cruise through Zipsea, and earn $25 in onboard credit for yourself as a thank-you reward. There is no limit to the number of friends you may refer.
2. How the Program Works
2.1 Earning Referral Credit
Zipsea members will receive onboard credit when the following conditions are met:
- The referring member retrieves their unique personal referral link by signing in to their Zipsea account.
- The referring member shares their referral link with a friend via text, email, social media, or other personal channels.
- The invitee uses the referral link to create a valid Zipsea account that complies with the Zipsea General Terms and Conditions.
- The invitee completes a qualifying cruise booking (as defined in Section 3 below).
2.2 Reward Distribution
- When an invitee books a qualifying cruise, they will receive $25 in onboard credit, which is automatically applied at checkout. No additional steps are required by the invitee.
- After the invitee’s final payment for the booked cruise is confirmed, the referring member will receive $25 in onboard credit, credited to their Zipsea account.
- While the invitee’s booking is pending final payment, the referring member’s credit will appear as “pending” in their account.
3. Qualifying Bookings
- A qualifying booking is a cruise booking made and paid for through Zipsea with a minimum total booking value of $1,000 (USD).
- The booking must be made by the invitee using the referring member’s referral link.
- If the invitee’s booking does not meet the minimum $1,000 threshold, neither the invitee nor the referring member will receive onboard credit for that booking.
- If a qualifying booking is canceled at any time before the cruise is completed, the booking will no longer be considered qualifying, and the referring member will not receive onboard credit.
4. Redeeming and Using Onboard Credit
- Onboard credit earned through this Program can only be used on Zipsea. Credit will be automatically applied at checkout toward the cost of a cruise booking.
- Some cruise lines may cap how much onboard credit can be applied per trip. Any unused credit received through referrals will remain in the member’s Zipsea account and roll over to future bookings.
- Onboard credit cannot be transferred between accounts, redeemed for cash, or used in conjunction with other Zipsea promotional offers unless expressly stated otherwise.
- Users may not obtain referral credit by creating multiple Zipsea accounts. Credits earned by separate accounts cannot be pooled into a single account.
- If you have any issues relating to your onboard credit balance, please contact the Zipsea support team. All determinations regarding credit balances are at the sole discretion of Zipsea.
5. Referral Link Distribution
- Each device (phone, laptop, computer, or other device) may only be used to send referral invitations from one Zipsea account.
- Referral links are for personal and non-commercial use only. Referral links may not be posted on or distributed via commercial websites, including but not limited to coupon or deal aggregator sites, gift certificate websites, travel forums, question-and-answer platforms, or other information distribution platforms.
- Members may not “spam” others with their referral link. This includes sharing it via bulk emails, unsolicited SMS messages, or any channel using automated systems, bots, or paid advertising.
- Members may not pay to promote or advertise their referral links.
6. Invitees
- Each device may only be used to register one Zipsea account.
- Each invitee may only use one referral link. If an invitee receives referral links from more than one Zipsea member, only the member whose link is actually used will receive referral credit.
- Each invitee may only receive the referral gift once from a single referring member. However, there is no limit to the number of different friends a member may refer.
7. Program Changes and Termination
- Zipsea reserves the right to modify the amount of onboard credit granted, the minimum booking threshold, or any other aspect of this Program at any time and without prior notice, in accordance with its own business judgment.
- Zipsea reserves the right to suspend or terminate this Program, or any member’s eligibility to participate, at any time and for any reason.
- Zipsea reserves the right to suspend accounts or withdraw onboard credit in response to any activity it believes to be disrespectful, fraudulent, or in violation of the Zipsea General Terms and Conditions.
- Zipsea reserves the right to review and investigate all referral activities and to suspend accounts or modify referrals in any manner it deems fair and appropriate at its sole discretion.
8. Fraud and Abuse
In the event of fraud, tampering, technical issues, or violation of these Program Terms or the Zipsea General Terms and Conditions, Zipsea reserves the right to take appropriate action, including but not limited to deleting the offending user’s account, canceling relevant bookings, and revoking onboard credit.
9. Severability
If any clause in these Program Terms is found to be illegal, void, or unenforceable, that clause (or the element of the clause that makes it invalid, void, or unenforceable) will be voided without affecting the validity and enforceability of the remaining clauses.
10. Updates to These Terms
Zipsea reserves the right to change these Program Terms at any time without prior notice. If changes are made, Zipsea will post a notice on the Zipsea website and/or app, and the changes will take effect immediately upon publication. Continued participation in the Program after any changes have been posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Limitation of Liability
Zipsea will not be liable or responsible for any act, omission, event, or circumstance that occurs beyond the reasonable control of Zipsea and that prevents Zipsea from complying with or fulfilling any element of these Program Terms. The user is required to bear all tax burdens incurred through their participation in this Program in accordance with relevant laws.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Program Terms and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with them, their subject matter, or their formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, and the courts of California shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
