Wonder of the Seas

Wonder of the Seas held the title of world's largest cruise ship from her March 2022 debut until Icon of the Seas arrived — and at 235,600 gross tons she still ranks among the biggest afloat. The fifth ship of Royal Caribbean's Oasis Class, she's 1,188 feet long, carries 5,734 guests at double occupancy (up to about 6,988 max) in 2,867 staterooms across 16 guest decks, with a crew of roughly 2,300. Built at Chantiers de l'Atlantique in France, she refined the Oasis formula rather than reinventing it, and she was the first in the class to add a dedicated Suite Neighborhood.

Wonder is laid out in eight neighborhoods: the Royal Promenade running through the heart of the ship, Central Park with its canopy of thousands of live plants and trees, the carnival-style Boardwalk, the Pool & Sports Zone up top, Entertainment Place, Youth Zone, Vitality Spa & Fitness, and the suites-only Suite Neighborhood with its private lounge, restaurant, and sun deck. Each zone has its own pace, which is how a ship this size avoids feeling like a crowd.

There are more than 20 places to eat, anchored by venues that debuted on this ship: The Mason Jar, Royal Caribbean's first Southern comfort restaurant and bar, and The Vue, a cantilevered bar with panoramic ocean views. Wonderland serves theatrical molecular-gastronomy tasting plates, 150 Central Park does fine dining in the garden, Giovanni's Italian Kitchen and Hooked Seafood cover the classics, and El Loco Fresh and Park Café handle quick bites.

Activities are signature Oasis Class at full strength: the Ultimate Abyss, a 10-deck dry slide; a zip line spanning the Boardwalk; two FlowRider surf simulators; The Perfect Storm waterslides; Splashaway Bay aqua park; the Wonder Playscape, an interactive outdoor kids' play area that debuted on this ship; ice skating shows in Studio B; high-dive performances in the open-air AquaTheater; and full theater productions in the Royal Theater.

Wonder suits families and first-timers who want maximum ship for minimum commitment — since fall 2025 she's been Royal Caribbean's short-cruise flagship in Miami, sailing 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday Bahamas itineraries to Nassau and Perfect Day at CocoCay through 2026 and into 2027. That makes her ideal for a quick taste of the Oasis Class experience, while couples get plenty of adult space in the Solarium, Central Park, and the Suite Neighborhood if they book up.
